RE: THE NOTION THAT PAIN AND SUFFERING SPUR TRUE BEAUTY – QUESTIONING WHY AMERICAN SOCIETY SUPPRESSES IT
If we cannot, within our society, allow for the creative outlet of anger, then what else can we reasonably expect but violence to result? Violence, in most cases, is merely rage internalized, suppressed, and fighting for escape. To accept anger, to create a constructive outlet for its expression, to understand it and share in it, and ultimately find the beauty that lies within it; this is the only hope we have for finding our greater peace.
