ON COMING — **Back** to LIFE ;0)

Reflection from January 1st, 2003 @ Age 21

RE:  ‘ROUND **FULL** CIRCLE ;oD

Well, it’s officially a New Year!  And, surprisingly, I think it was the best New Year’s Eve I’ve had in a long time!  I don’t want to deal with other people’s pity though, because I really chose the best for myself and enjoyed it, and I’m not sure why others think it’s such a terrible thing I didn’t go out and get wasted.  But, then again, I’m not really sure I’ll ever solve that mystery.

I woke up this morning remembering Woodward and what a thrill it used to be.  And how much I used to love that damn sport.  It’s a wonder how bitter endings disguise all the wonderful things that occurred before them.

I also woke up with voicemails from Jen and Bella.  I just love those girls!  And they were both drunk and it made me remember how much fun I used to have freshman year with them, minus the asshole boys and the embarrassing moments.  I really do love my girls!

I can hardly believe it’s 2003!  And I get to graduate again this year!  It still almost seems like it just turned 1999!  It’s hard to believe how far I have come!

I had a bad dream about Denison last night.  I was just screaming and yelling and out of control with emotion because I absolutely positively did not want to be there any longer.  I am happy to only have half a year left!  Three and a half done!  I cannot believe it!

Ahh the New Year’s resolutions!  Where do I even begin?  With a list I suppose…

2003 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:

1. Detach myself more and more every day from material things

2. Appreciate more what I have—especially my amazing family and wonderful friends

3. Listen to myself, my body, and my intuitions more

4. Be more in-tune to that which cannot be seen

5. Give more without expecting in return

6. Save more money (save > I spend?!)

7. Make a serious effort to make myself happy

8. Keep in touch with old friends better

9. Let those who I love know more that I love them—in forms other than words

10. Volunteer more

11. Prepare body, spirit and mind for law school and the future

12. Build my self-confidence

13. Not be addicted to other people

14. Take relationships with men slooowwwww!  Painfully slow!

15. Make healthy eating and exercise a lifestyle

Hah!  I think that is enough for now.  Well, my my my.  I guess I was a bit off because this seems to be the halfway point.  Ohh!

16. Read more books (for pleasure)

17. Be more in-tune with what’s going on in the world

18. Vote!

19. Swear less!

20. Love myself more!

Okay, my God I can’t stop!

21. Make it to the south

22. Stop using illegal drugs

23. Stop taking pills to cure problems (ahem birth control and Paxil)

24. Find natural solutions to problems

25. Dance and sing more

26. Start practicing yoga

27. Develop my interests

28. Make my life happen—don’t let it just pass by
